HOME SAFETY
with Ashley Briggs

Join Ashley Briggs at the Williamson County Public Library for her presentation, “Home Safety,” to learn tips on how to keep loved ones suffering from Alzheimer’s and other dementias safe in the home. This is the sixth and final program in the Alzheimer’s and Dementia 2023 series, a collaboration between the Library and the Alzheimer’s Association Tennessee Chapter. “Home Safety” will be held on Tuesday, September 26, from 1:30 to 3 p.m. in the Library’s Meeting Room.

Ashley Briggs will demonstrate ways to make a home safe for someone suffering from Alzheimer’s or other dementias. If safety measures are in place, an individual living with Alzheimer’s can remain in the comfort of his or her own home or a caregiver’s residence. As the disease progresses, the person’s abilities will change. Ashley will show how, with some creativity and flexibility, the home can be adapted to support these changes.
