31st Annual Steak & Burger Dinner
May 14 @ 5:30 pm - 9:00 pm
|The Steak & Burger Dinner is Boys & Girls Clubs of Middle Tennessee’s oldest and most time honored tradition. The dinner is designed to honor Club members and engage supporters of our organization with the young people who benefit from their generosity. At the Steak & Burger Dinner the adults are served a delicious burger while the kids get to feast on a steak dinner. Each table will consist of six (6) adults and two (2) kids so that event attendees learn about the kids in a unique setting. The event begins at 5:30 PM and will include a silent auction, entertainment by Boys & Girls Club members and a special guest. The Steak & Burger Dinner will be held on Thursday, May 14, 2020 at Liberty Hall in the Factory at Franklin.
Boys & Girls Clubs of Middle Tennessee (BGCMT) is a youth development organization that is dedicated to making a difference in the lives of the youth in our community. Our Clubs provide a safe place to learn and grow; ongoing relationships with caring, adult professionals; life-enhancing programs and character development experiences; and hope and opportunity. Our mission is to enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, and responsible citizens.
The Clubs provide age appropriate programs for youth with the focus being Academic Success, Good Character and Citizenship and Healthy Lifestyles. In the area of Academic Success, the Club supports members’ school success through such efforts as homework help and school readiness, engages members in fun, hands-on activities to practice and learn reading, writing, speaking, math and scientific inquiry and provides extra help for members who have difficulty mastering academic content and skills. Let’s Go Learn technology is used to provide automated, individualized diagnostic testing, data, reporting, and instruction to boost an individual Club member’s performance.
