LOTZ HOUSE COMMEMORATES THE 159TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE BATTLE OF FRANKLIN WITH ILLUMINATION THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 30
Illumination to commemorate the 10,000 lives lost in the bloodiest battle of the Civil War Lighting of candle by Lotz House Executive Director and Historian Thomas Y. Cartwright, Lotz House Women’s History Tour Guide Kelly Kautzman and Color Guard Re-enactor Bill Radcliff. Instrumentalist Cody Engdahl performing period music from the 1860’s.
About the Lotz House:
The Lotz House, which has been on the National Historic Register since 1976, is located in the heart of downtown historic Franklin, Tennessee at “epicenter” of the Battle of Franklin, which was a pivotal battle in the Civil War on November 30, 1864. The house is open Monday – Saturday, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. Admission charged. The Lotz House is located at 1111 Columbia Avenue.
