Designer showcases high-end aprons featured in O, The Oprah Magazine

Haute Hostess founder and designer Elizabeth Scokin hosted an event at Vintage Jolie in Franklin showcasing her high-fashion aprons, which are featured in Oprah Winfrey’s O List for this month in O, The Oprah Magazine.

Former high fashion model Scokin has been designing and selling the high-end aprons for the last nine years. Within the first six months of Haute Hostess’ launch, the brand was featured in O Magazine, and has since had a segment on Winfrey’s show The Oprah Winfey Show and is now on Winfrey’s O List for the month of November.Haute Hostess

Scokin said the aprons serve as fashion statements rather than as functional kitchen aids. She was inspired to design the aprons based on an apron that her grandmother wore when she was a little girl.

Since then, her designs have been purchased by people like Sofia Vergara of ABC’s “Modern Family,” Catherine Dutchess of Cambridge also known as Kate Middleton, and Adrienne Williams Bosh, wife of NBA player Chris Bosh.

In addition to designer aprons, Haute Hostess also makes napkins, pillows and table runners all in Tennessee. The brand has spread to over 20 stores in the country and can be found online at http://hautehostessaprons.com
