Williamson County artists and photographers of all ages are invited to enter their works in the cultural arts competitions at the 2008 Williamson County Fair presented by Tractor Supply Company, August 1-9 at the Williamson County Ag Expo Park. 

For residents 18 years of age or older, the fair will present a juried art show with professional and amateur divisions in painting, fiber, sculpture and jewelry. Entries to the juried art show require a single non-refundable application fee of $20 per piece for up to 3 entries per category. Artwork must not exceed 72” in any dimension. Best of show and best of class premiums of $100 each will be awarded. Entry deadline for the juried art show is

Friday, August 1st at noon. Entry forms and additional requirements can be found in the fair catalogue. Entries and fees may be mailed in advance to: Williamson County Fair, Juried Art Show Entry, P.O. Box 329, Franklin, TN 37065.

Williamson County students from pre-K through 12th grade are invited to participate in a Fine Arts Student Exhibition to be held at the 2008 fair.  Entries must have been created during the 2007-2008 school year and mounted, labeled and delivered according to the guidelines in the fair catalogue. All entrants in the student exhibition will receive a ribbon of participation. The entry deadline for the student exhibition is Friday, August 1st at 1:00pm.

Photography will also be showcased in professional, amateur and youth divisions.  One $75 best of show award will be made in each section along with red, white, blue and honorable mention ribbons. Photography entries must meet competition regulations and must be dropped off by July 1, 2008 at locations listed in the fair catalogue. All photography entries will be displayed at the fair and may be picked up Sunday, August 10th from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.
