AWEAR Fashion Show

The 7thAnnual AWEAR Fashion Show, presented by the students of O’More College of Design, brings New York style to fashionable Franklin on May 10. The event is unique because it is completely student produced. It highlights the high caliber of students at O’More and the top notch quality of work they produce. This event is designed to showcase students’ work, and raise scholarship money for worthy design students. A representative from O’More says 85% of students benefit from some sort of financial aid so “events like these really help.”

There are two great events to boast about this year the Preview Party and the Fashion Show itself. The Preview Party is May 4, at 6:30 p.m. at Lexus of Nashville in Cool Springs/Brentwood. In addition to a great atmosphere filled with string music, champagne and hors d’oeuvres, this event will offer an “exclusive first look at students’ designs.” Guests will get an opportunity to see one to two pieces from each designer and get a feel for the inspiration behind their line. Tickets are $75 but also include priority seating and admission to the fashion show.

The AWEAR 2007 Fashion Show presented by Fifth Third Bank is scheduled for Thursday, May 10, at 6:30 p.m. in Liberty Hall at The Factory at Franklin. The show will feature work from 22 students and an array of clothing lines, all viewed from the runway on professional Advantage models. This event sells out so make sure and get your tickets early!

Tickets are $30 a person, $15 for students and can be purchased online at www.omorecollege.edu or by calling 615.794.4254.  “It’s a fantastic event, unlike any other in the area” says Wasielewski, so come out and support a worthy cause and have a great time!
