Antique Auto Club Has History of Helping Adults with Special Needs

FRANKLIN, TN – Earlier this year BrightStone received its 13th donation of more than $1,000 from Battlefield Region AACA (Antique Automobile Club of America). A community partner since 2008, Battlefield Region AACA has given an impressive grand total of $20,500 to BrightStone in support of adults with special needs. Moneys gifted are a portion of proceeds from the club’s Franklin area events.
BrightStone hopes to work with Battlefield Region AACA on hosting a future car show at its 140-acre “Land of Dreams” campus on Columbia Pike.
“We are beyond blessed to thank Battlefield Region Antique Automobile Club of America for providing years of financial support topping $20,000! We’re also looking forward to a possible collaboration with the club on a future car show at the new BrightStone campus – Our students love beautiful cars and participating in a show as a judge or other appropriate role could offer them a fun and unique way to learn and practice social and decision making skills in the community.” – Randy Elliott, Director of Advancement, BrightStone
“Last year was Battlefield AACA’s 30th Annual Antique and Classic Car Show in Franklin.  The club members enjoy sharing their vehicles and stories with the community, and we are happy to share the proceeds with Williamson County organizations that provide much needed support for the community members with intellectual challenges.” – Jim Morinec President, Battlefield Region Chapter AACA
