Introduction to Mindfulness

Tuesdays, March 10 to April 14, 2020, 11:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.

Mindfulness Mediation has been on the rise the past five years. It is the ancient practice of being present for and paying attention to your thoughts, body, and emotions. Each week will focus on a different theme and include a 15 minute meditation:

Week 1) What is Mindfulness, the science, benefits, and how to use in everyday life.

Week 2) Creating the habit, and sharpening the focus with inner tools to manage difficult emotions.

Week 3) Mindfulness with chronic pain.

Week 4) Mindfulness of caregiving and in our relationships.

Week 5) Building resilience, compassion and creativity.

Week 6) Boosting happiness and living meaningfully.

Cost is $50. Walk-ins welcome at $10 per class. Registration is online at www.wcparksandrec.com. Registration code #16793.
