RISING STARS PRESENT “ALADDIN JR.”
The Williamson County Parks and Recreation Department’s children’s theatre group, the Rising Stars (formerly Star Bright Jr.), will present the musical Aladdin Jr. at the Williamson County Performing Arts Center at Academy Park, 112 Everbright Ave., Franklin, TN. Performance dates are Friday, June 21, at 7:00 p.m.; Saturday, June 22 at 3:00 p.m.* and 7:00 p.m.; and a Sunday matinee on June 23 at 2:00 p.m.
Disney’s Aladdin Jr. is based on the 1992 Academy-Award®-winning film and the 2014 hit Broadway show about the “diamond in the rough” street rat who learns that his true worth lies deep within. Aladdin and his three friends, Babkak, Omar, and Kassim, are down on their luck until Aladdin discovers a magic lamp and the Genie who has the power to grant wishes. With expanded characters, new songs, and more thrills, this new adaptation of the beloved story will delight all ages.
