MAY PICKLEBALL CLINICS

The Athletics Division of Williamson County Parks and Recreation is registering for upcoming Spring Pickleball Clinics for advanced level players. The clinics, taught by experienced pickleball instructors, will be conducted on the outdoor courts at the Academy Park campus located at 120 Everbright Ave., Franklin, TN. Cost for each clinic is $50.

Clinics will be held May 13, 14 and 15 from 5:30 – 7:00 p.m., (#13830) and  May 20, 21 and 22 from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. (#13831) for intermediate players with a strong knowledge of the rules and wanting to develop their skills further. Participants will gain a better understanding of serve placement, proper, volley placement and improve dinking skills.

Pickleball is a racquet sport that combines elements of badminton, tennis, and table tennis. It is estimated that two million Americans play the game, and its popularity is growing, especially among seniors.  Two-thirds of all pickleball players are over the age of 60, and it is a popular event with local seniors as well as with participants in the Tennessee Senior Olympics.
