Council on Aging hosts 3rd annual Discover Franklin
The Council on Aging of Middle Tennessee will host its third annual class of Discover Franklin this June, offering a behind the scenes look at the Williamson County community. Registration for this interactive learning experience is now available.
Discover Franklin is a unique and exciting learning experience for active adults, 55-plus, that enhances understanding of Williamson County and exposes participants to meaningful civic engagement and volunteer opportunities within the community.
This seven-day program brings the history and culture of Franklin into sharp focus through activities involving weekly tours, lectures, demonstrations and first- hand experience. Participants hear from area nonprofit, business and government leaders about the area’s history and future.
“The Discover Franklin program is a great opportunity for participants, whether new to the area or a lifelong resident, to connect with other active older adults while exploring the area’s historic past and exciting future,” said Ellen LeRoy, discover program manager of the Council on Aging of Middle Tennessee. “Leave the driving to us as you experience a truly unique behind-the-scenes look at Franklin.”
