During this water shortage, the Williamson County Parks and Recreation Department assures the public that it is not using domestic water to replenish fields. Irrigation is supplied either by well water or water that is being trucked in from a quarry located at the Williamson County Highway Department. Department Director, Doug Hood states, “We want the residents of Williamson County to know we are not using domestic water in the irrigation of our playing fields and parks. We are following the restrictions and guidelines established by the City of Franklin and other utility agencies.”
