Ellie G’s Dream World

Ellie G’s Dream World is Franklin’s first inclusive playground, located within the Pearlene M. Bransford Complex, known as “The Pearl,” on Carothers Parkway. This playground is designed for children of all abilities, featuring accessible play structures and park amenities. The first phase includes the main play structures, a pavilion, and shaded areas, with future developments planned to introduce an outdoor fitness area and an amphitheater.

The playground is named in memory of Elliot Grace Castro, known as Ellie G, who passed away at the age of four in September 2019. Born with a rare form of dwarfism, Ellie G inspired many with her courage, strength, and joy. The playground was created to reflect her spirit and provide a space where all children can play together.
