Cooper Trooper Foundation will pivot from pumpkins to putters as a fall fundraiser this September

Franklin, TN, Thursday, September 10, 2026

Cooper Trooper Foundation announced a transition from their well-known “Pumpkin Patch” Fundraiser of 16 years. This September the nonprofit will hold it’s first annual Charity Golf Classic at Franklin Bridge Golf Club, during childhood cancer awareness month.

While Cooper Trooper Foundation’s “pumpkins for a purpose” fundraiser in front of Walgreens in Cool Springs, became a well-loved community staple, it was time for something different. The Pumpkin Patch was a successful fundraiser for the foundation, but it was also heavily dependent on a large amount of volunteers required to operate it for several weeks every October. The Charity Golf Classic will be a one day event in September (also Childhood Cancer Awareness Month) and CTF is excited to host this brand new fundraising event.

Come support CTF’s “Swinging for the Sibs” Golf fundraiser as a new Community Sponsor or as a Golfer, at our 1 st Annual Charity Golf Classic. And, for those who were loyal pumpkin patch supporters, stay tuned. We will share more in the coming months about how continuing to purchase pumpkins in front of Walgreens in Cool Springs will still benefit Cooper Trooper. More information and registration for our Golf Classic is up to date and live now on our website and social media. Early Bird Deadline: June 30, 2026.

ABOUT COOPER TROOPER FOUNDATION

Cooper Trooper Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit whose mission is to champion the fight against childhood cancer through sibling support and research funding. CTF was started by a local family in Franklin, TN, after their youngest son (Cooper) was diagnosed with a rare cancer at 8 weeks old. Thankfully, Cooper is cancer free and will be a Senior at Page High School in the fall. It was through the family’s experience with Cooper’s brothers that they realized the lack of resources for siblings and sought to celebrate and recognize the often-overlooked courage of siblings during a childhood cancer diagnosis. CTF sendsa package of items just for siblings up to 18 years old ( called a Courage Kit) at no cost to families, across the U.S. Additionally, CTF supports childhood cancer research through an endowed fund set up at Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt.
