Dear Friends,

We have all experienced loss—the kind that forever changes the shape of our hearts.

For me, November 25th will always mark the day my son, Micah, went home to be with the Lord. Just one day shy of his eighteenth birthday, Micah stepped from this life into eternity. While my heart aches daily in his absence, I hold fast to the hope we have in Jesus—that death is not the end, but a doorway into everlasting life.

Micah’s life, though far too short by earthly standards, was filled with purpose, joy, and a faith that continues to inspire me. His legacy lives on in the lives he touched, the love he shared, and the mission he embraced alongside me—to reach others with the hope of the Gospel.

That is why the In His Grip Memorial Classic exists.

This day has been set apart as sacred space—for comfort, healing, remembrance, and gratitude. It is a pause in the busyness of life to honor those we love and miss deeply, and to celebrate the lasting impact they have made on our lives.

Throughout the day, we will gather around stories, prayer, music, and hope—centered on glorifying God even in the midst of grief. Each golfer will be invited to play in honor of a loved one, with a special tribute recognizing their life and legacy.

There is a $1 administration fee to play in this event, beyond that we simply ask that you “Give from the heart, and donate in memory of a loved one you are playing for.” Every gift serves a greater purpose—helping advance the mission of In His Grip and continuing the work God has entrusted to us.

Once you have registered you will be asked, “Who do you want to play in memory of during the day?”
