Friends of the Brentwood Library Fall Book Sale | October 17-19

The Friends of the Brentwood Library (FOBL) will hold its fall book sale next week at the John P. Holt Brentwood Library with doors open to the public October 17-19.

The sale features approximately 15,000 books and related items, including hundreds of best-selling authors, literary classics, biographies, and a huge selection of nonfiction.

The sale’s autumn inventory also offers a giant selection of storybooks and chapter books for children and teens. And if all that isn’t enough, it features hundreds of puzzles and games for all ages, as well as popular DVDs, CDs, and even vinyl music.

Thinking of the shopping season ahead? The October FOBL sale is perfectly timed to select unique gifts that will appeal to every age range and area of interest. And, as a special feature this time, FOBL has curated an incredible selection of “seasonal holiday” titles including holiday novels, children’s stories, cookbooks, crafts, and more.

All adult hardback books are just $3 apiece, while paperbacks are $2 or less. Children’s titles are $2 and $1 respectively.

Public sale hours are Friday, October 17, from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm; Saturday, October 18, from 10:00 am to 5:30 pm; and Sunday, October 19, from 1:00 pm to 5:30 pm. On Sunday, every item remaining will be half price or less.

FOBL members are invited to shop early on Thursday, October 16, from 2:00 pm to 5:30 pm, and new members are welcome to sign up at the door. All proceeds from the donation-based sale provide ongoing support for library services and community programs that are at the heart of FOBL’s mission.

The Friends of the Brentwood Library is a non-profit, 501(c)3 service-oriented group with over 500 members dedicated to the advancement of the local community through its library.
