Union Sportsmen’s Alliance to Host Free Spring Hill Campin’ in the Park Sept. 27-28

Union Sportsmen’s Alliance to Host Free Spring Hill Campin’ in the Park Sept. 27-28

SPRING HILL, Tenn — After drawing 568 campers in 2024, the Union Sportsmen’s Alliance (USA) and City of Spring Hill are once again hosting Campin’ in the Park this weekend, offering local families a full camping experience with outdoor activities for all ages.

Even though registration is full, we invite you to come cover this event, interview volunteers and families, and see firsthand the impact Campin’ in the Park has on the community.

Now in its fourth year, this family-friendly event will offer nature-themed arts & crafts, archery, rock climbing, an obstacle course, frisbee golf, a scavenger hunt, backyard bass and more. Groups that registered should bring tents, sleeping bags, pillows, headlamps or flashlights, camp chairs, bug spray, sunscreen, snacks and water.

Dinner is provided but participants should bring their own lunch.

Organized by the USA in coordination with the City of Spring Hill, the event is part of a series of free, community-based youth outreach activities under Work Boots on the Ground—the USA’s flagship conservation program. All youths must be accompanied by a parent, guardian or chaperone.

This family-friendly event is designed to spark a lifelong passion for the outdoors in youths. As today’s outdoor enthusiasts fuel billions in retail sales and contribute millions to conservation and wildlife management through federal excise taxes, the future of our outdoor heritage depends on engaging the next generation—now.

This free event offers hands-on activities that introduce children from all backgrounds to the wonders of nature, while spotlighting the powerful connection between outdoor recreation and environmental stewardship. It helps cultivate tomorrow’s conservation leaders by giving kids a meaningful start in the great outdoors.
