Leiper’s Fork Distillery Brings House of Spirits to Downtown Franklin

Leiper’s Fork Distillery Brings House of Spirits to Downtown Franklin

Since 2016, Leiper’s Fork Distillery in Leiper’s Fork has been a favorite destination for whiskey lovers, tucked away in the countryside of Williamson County. Visitors to the distillery’s barn have long enjoyed its grain-to-glass spirits, fireside chairs, and a chance to experience Tennessee’s whiskey-making traditions.

Now, that experience has expanded to downtown Franklin with the opening of Leiper’s Fork Distillery House of Spirits on Main Street. Founded by Lee and Lynlee Kennedy, the distillery has become a celebrated part of Williamson County’s whiskey scene, and bringing it to Main Street marks a meaningful homecoming for the couple who call Franklin home.

The House of Spirits blends history, hospitality, and innovation. Guests will find a Tennessee whiskey history wall, an experimental distillation lab, curated whiskey flights, and a cocktail bar designed to highlight both Leiper’s Fork’s award-winning spirits and other carefully selected craft favorites. The bar program also includes small-batch gin from Doghouse Distillery, a grain-to-glass producer, vodka from a Colorado distillery that uses the traditional potato-to-glass method first developed in Poland, and future plans for mead made with Williamson County honey. In addition, a limited selection of local beer will be available on tap.

To complement the drinks, Thompson’s Station restaurant Circa has created a menu of small plates featuring local cheeses, breads, and meats. Live music on a small stage adds another layer of community spirit, showcasing the local talent Williamson County is known for.

While the original distillery remains open in Leiper’s Fork for tours and tastings, the downtown Franklin location offers a more accessible way for locals and visitors to connect with the brand. With its mix of education, cocktails, food, and music, Leiper’s Fork Distillery House of Spirits is set to become a new gathering spot right in the heart of Main Street.

Leiper’s Fork Distillery House of Spirits has already opened its doors,  but the official ribbon-cutting is scheduled for Thursday, August 21, 2025, from 4 to 6 pm.
