Looking for ways to keep the kids engaged as summer winds down? The Williamson County Public Library in Franklin is packed with back-to-school events all month long, offering creative, interactive programs for children and teens.
- August 2 – Back to School Bingo
Kids of all ages can play bingo by matching letters and win fun prizes. - August 9 – Self Care Saturday: Self-Care Menu
Ages 6 to12 can join this hands-on program to kick off a new monthly series focused on self-care and wellness. - August 10 – Back to School Crafternoon
Teens ages 12–18 can create their own magnetic chalkboards, perfect for lockers, fridges, or study spaces. - August 12 – Back to School Trivia Night
Kids and caregivers team up to test their knowledge of school subjects in this fun, family-friendly game night. - August 16 – Read with Sadie
Children ages 6 to 12 can spend time reading one-on-one with Sadie, the library’s beloved therapy dog. - August 17 – Jr. Chess Club

These events don’t require a library card to attend, but it’s worth having one! A Williamson County Public Library card gives you free access to online homework help, test prep, and live writing and math support, available seven days a week.
