Southern Whiskey Society’s Premier Food & Whiskey Experience Returns to The Factory at Franklin on August 9

Silent Auction to Benefit OneGenAway’s Fight Against Hunger
FRANKLIN, Tenn. (July 28, 2025) – The Southern Whiskey Society’s popular Southern Food & Whiskey Experience returns on Saturday, August 9, 2025, from 5 to 9 p.m. at The Factory at Franklin, offering guests a one-of-a-kind evening of whiskey tastings, chef pairings and charitable giving.
100% of the silent auction proceeds will benefit OneGenAway’s mission to eliminate food insecurity across Middle Tennessee and beyond through its mobile food pantries.
“We’re honored to be part of an event that brings people together around hospitality and generosity,” said Chris Whitney, founder and CEO of OneGenAway. “Every dollar raised through the silent auction will help us deliver fresh, healthy food to families who need it most.”
Operating on the belief that no one should go to bed hungry, OneGenAway partners with grocery stores, food suppliers and volunteers to rescue high-quality food and deliver it directly to neighbors in need. Each mobile pantry provides groceries to over 300 families, no questions asked. Community-driven events like the Southern Food & Whiskey Experience help make that work possible.
“Partnering with OneGenAway again this year just feels right,” said Tiny Irwin, Southern Whiskey Society Proprietor. “Seeing the impact they make in our community truly embodies our core value of Shared Generosity: ‘We believe that true connection is forged through collective giving – of time, resources and spirit.’ Plus, they’re just amazing people!”
This year’s Southern Food & Whiskey Experience features a Tasting Room with 40 distilleries offering more than 150 spirits, a Pairing Room where 10 local chefs will partner with 10 distilleries for never-before-done food and whiskey pairings, a premium cigar experience and vendors catering to whiskey lovers.
Tickets for the August 9 event start at $199, with designated driver tickets available for $99. VIP ticket holders enjoy exclusive early access and premium pours from select distillers.
