NASHVILLE, TN—June 5, 2025 The Nashville Symphony’s July 2025 schedule features a symphonic tribute to Queen; live-to-film performances of Gladiator and The Goonies; an outdoor concert featuring the music of Star Wars; and the return of a beloved Beatles tribute band. Relive the legendary and five-time Academy Award® winning film Gladiator on the big screen while the Nashville Symphony performs Hans Zimmer and Lisa Gerrard’s iconic score with vocal soloist and chorus. Maximus, formerly one of the Roman army’s most trusted generals, is sold by slave traders to battle in the Colosseum. He is determined to take revenge on Commodus, win back his dignity, avenge his family, and gain freedom for his people.

Bridging the gulf between rock n’ roll and classical music, members of the Nashville Symphony perform The Music of Queen at Schermerhorn Symphony Center. Conductor Brent Havens takes the podium to present a program scored to extend the listening experience of Queen’s exceptional tunes. Performed by a live orchestra, featuring vocalist MiG Ayesa, and amplified with a full rock band and vocals, this show captures Queen’s distinct sound while presenting some familiar and lots of new musical colors.
