Nashville, TN – April’s rains helped set the stage for a beautiful celebration of the Impact100 Nashville Garden Party. The party was the finale of Impact100’s Big Meetup Event, which was hosted by Angela Vogeli, with co-hosts Jackie Thomas, Amy Fair, and Cathy Lucas. This event marked the culmination of parties throughout the Greater Nashville communities in March and April.
The women of Impact100 Nashville have been empowering local nonprofits through their collective generosity. The Annual Garden Party is an opportunity to celebrate their achievements and to look toward the future. Since 2014, the Nashville Chapter of Impact100 has awarded $1,269,000 to local non-profits in Middle Tennessee.
Guests were treated to fragrant blooms and delicious treats while hearing firsthand about the transformative impact of one of the 2023 $100,00 Impact100 grants. Haley Trusler, the Housing Director of Dream Streets, spoke about the mission and work of the Dream Streets organization. Trusler relayed the Impact100 grant funded the purchase of a refrigerated truck to rescue and distribute fresh food and a part-time driver. The impact was immediate, by increasing their capacity, reach, and success in providing wrap-around services to Nashville residents in areas identified as food deserts.
In the first quarter of 2025, Dream Streets rescued 32,717 pounds of food from early disposal to create and distribute 2,895 snack bags (not including those given to After School Program students) throughout Metro Nashville neighborhoods. Additionally, 3,703 individuals attended Dream Streets Mobile Food sites, taking home groceries that helped feed 9,746 people — including 3,586 children under 18.
The annual Garden Party is one of the top events for Impact100 Nashville, the local chapter of Impact100 Global. By joining Impact100, members have a direct role supporting local nonprofits’ sustainable grant projects and a significant difference in our community each year.
“We are thrilled to host our grand finale event in Angela’s stunning garden,” said Joanne Sowell, President of Impact100 Nashville. “This is a wonderful opportunity for potential members to experience the spirit of Impact100 and for all of our members to see the power of collective giving in action.”
