Voices & Music from the Battle of Franklin – The Franklin Theatre

Join us in remembering the participants in the climactic Battle at Franklin at the Franklin Theatre on Monday, December 9th at 8 pm. Hear live authentic fiddle and banjo songs that soldiers and civilians alike would have listened to, to some of the most moving accounts on the march from Atlanta in the race to Nashville, to the killing fields south of Franklin, where in five hours 10,000 Americans became casualties. Musician and historian Brent Feito will be coming from the mountains of Northern Virginia to entertain and educate the audience on well-documented, and correctly played, fiddle and banjo tunes from the 1850s and 60s – songs almost all participants in the contest at Franklin would have known.
