Women of Williamson Announces 2024 Lunch That Matters for November 21st and Issues Call for Charities to Apply
This year’s Women of Williamson’s Lunch That Matters fundraising luncheon will be held on Thursday, November 21st at the Embassy Suites in Cool Springs. WOW is also announcing that area charities who wish to participate in the luncheon can now submit applications to be a part of the benefit. Lunch That Matters provides locally based charities serving women and children with the opportunity to share their missions, tell their stories and showcase the important work they do to lunch attendees. After hearing presentations from each charitable organization, attendees at the free-to-attend fundraiser will be given the opportunity to donate and support the charities of their choice.
Each year a select group of area charities are chosen by Women of Williamson to participate as luncheon beneficiaries based on criteria, such as the length of their service, the scope of the work they do and the positive impact they have on the lives of women and/or children in the community. The charities selected to participate are each given designated time slots to speak when they are able to make their case and needs known to the audience after being introduced.
Charities participating in previous luncheons include Freedom Reigns, CASA, Daughters of the King, ARC, Davis House, NAMI, Tucker’s House, Graceworks, NOOK and Bridges Domestic Violence Center, among others. In addition to the charity line-up as part of the luncheon, a guest speaker, to be announced soon, will provide an inspirational talk before emceeing the program and introducing the charities.
Charities interested in being part of this year’s Lunch That Matters may apply by contacting Linda Crockett at ljack805@aol.com between now and October 15, 2024. Charities chosen to participate will be notified by November 1st.

WOW’s Lunch That Matters will run from 11:30 AM – 1:PM on November 21st with the doors opening at 11:00.
