Bridgestone and Art Urban Hosted an Art Show at The Bridgestone Tower in Commemoration of Black History Month

‘For the Love of Art’ Black History Month Art Showcase was hosted by Bridgestone’s BBOLD and Art Urban Nashville on February 27. The celebration was held in the Bridgestone Tower lobby, which was transformed into an art gallery showcasing a variety of artwork from esteemed local artists, featuring Marteja Bailey, James Brown, Olasubomi Aka-Bashorun, Charles Key, Preston Mitchell, Lorenzo Swinton, Marcus Ellis, Megan Pollard and Phillip Harrison.

The event kicked off with remarks from Bridgestone West’s executive leadership team including Paolo Ferrari, Chief Executive Officer, and Chris Nicastro, Executive Vice President & Chief Legal Officer, as well as introductions from BBOLD President Donald Frost and Art Urban Owner Phillip Harrison.

Throughout the three-hour event, guests had the opportunity to admire a wide variety of artwork, meet local Black artists, listen to a live jazz performance from the William Davenport Band, and watch as a live painter transformed a blank canvas into a beautiful piece illustrating the Black community within Bridgestone. There were over 100 employees in attendance.
