Bridgestone Americas Hosted National Speaker from Wounded Warrior Project to Honor Veterans
BRAVO, Bridgestone’s veteran employee resource group, led a seamless and powerful celebration, where over 50 employees were in attendance + the remote employees who tuned in via Zoom.
Sal Gonzalez gave a moving speech about his military background, how he lost his leg in Iraq, the PTSD and struggles that came following his injury and how music and the Wounded Warrior organization have absolutely turned his life around and inspired him to help other veterans going through similar experiences. Sal selflessly has shifted his military losses into a positive by using his experiences/stories to write and perform songs, speak in front of huge crowds, get to know veterans on a personal level, and with some, even saving their lives.
Not only is Sal a U.S. Marine Corps Veteran and the spokesperson for the Wounded Warrior Project, his incredible voice also garnered him an appearance NBC’s ‘America’s Got Talent’ and the television show ‘Nashville.’ Bridgestone teammates had the pleasure of hearing two of Sal’s songs, and the celebration was an inspiring, yet emotional one.
