WHAT TO CONSIDER ON THE DEMENTIA JOURNEY: 10 HELPFUL ACTION ITEMS

[FRANKLIN, TN, June 12, 2023] The Williamson County Public Library and the Alzheimer’s Association Tennessee Chapter are pleased to announce the third program in their Alzheimer’s and Dementia series. Julie Ehrlich will present “What to Consider on the Dementia Journey: 10 Helpful Action Items” on Tuesday, June 27, from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. in the Library’s Meeting Room.
Having a family member receive a diagnosis of Alzheimer’s or other form of dementia is devastating. Julie Ehrlich, a Certified Care Manager with over 26 years of healthcare experience, will help guide families and caregivers of loved ones with dementia through key action points required to provide the care necessary for them. In addition to covering steps you can take to become better equipped to offer that care for the future, Julie will explain what resources you’ll need as you embark on the dementia journey.
Julie Ehrlich has over 25 years of healthcare experience, including as a services director for a skilled nursing and rehab facility and supporting/advocating rehab, ventilator and dementia care patients. She has also been an activities director for a memory care unit. Julie has worked as a Care Manager since 2006 and has been a Certified Care Manager through the Aging Life Care Association since 2012. Ms. Ehrlich was promoted from Senior Care Manager to Area Manager in the fall of 2022. She has facilitated a Dementia Caregiver Support Group at a local Assisted Living with the support of the TN Alzheimer’s Association since 2012. She has also been an Independent Dementia Consultant for Teepa Snow’s Positive Approach for Care since 2017. Julie is an advocate for the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, as she lost her mom to that disease.
The Alzheimer’s and Dementia programs are on the fourth Tuesday of each month, April through September, from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Williamson County Public Library in the Meeting Room on the first floor.
