Taking place at The Franklin Theatre at 7 p.m. on January 23rd, An Evening of Magical Coincidences features illusions, mentalism, audience participation, and thought-provoking, emotionally engaging experiences. Hot Sauce Tasting (Jan. 25)

Are you a glutton for punishment? If so, The John P. Holt Brentwood Library is holding a hot sauce tasting this Wednesday from 5:30 p.m.- 6:30 p.m.! Get ready to work out your taste buds and gather round with fellow hot sauce connoisseurs to sample and discuss both new and familiar flavors!

 

Kids’ Dance Classes (Jan. 26)

We Rock The Spectrum Kid’s Gym invites you to celebrate their Open House this Thursday from 5:30 p.m.- 6:30 p.m. with a FREE preview dance class for kids aged 5-10 of all ability levels! Stop by to check out the studio, meet the instructors, and take advantage of registration specials. Space is limited and available on a first-come-first-served basis, so make sure to sign up soon!

 

Old World Italian Dinner (Jan. 26)

Black Diamond Culinary is an event space that fosters a love of food and relationships through cooking classes and dinner parties. This Thursday at 5:30 p.m., you are invited to an authentic Italian dining experience. This dinner features 6 courses of food accompanied by curated wine pairings from all over Italy! This Italian dinner party hosted by Black Diamond Culinary is fun, elegant, tasty, and educational. Get together with family and friends to experience an authentic, Old World Italian dinner! 

 

Franklin Farmers Market (Jan. 28)

You can find The Franklin Farmers Market behind The Factory at Franklin every Saturday morning from 9 a.m.- 12 p.m.! This recurring local event hosts numerous vendors selling not only fresh produce and baked goods, but also handcrafted items and local art! The Franklin Farmers Market proves the importance of contributing to your community and offers the perfect opportunity to support your local farmers, kitchens, and artisans!

 

Geocaching (Jan. 28)

Owl’s Hill Nature Sanctuary is hosting a day of exploration on Jan. 28th in the form of geocaching! Geocaches are objects hidden in containers that can be found using your GPS or smartphone, and participants are welcome to bring tradeables to leave in caches they may find from 10 a.m.- 3 p.m.! No experience is necessary, so make sure to check out this activity and have fun searching through the woods of Owl’s Hill for hidden treasures! 

 

Arctic Plunge (Jan. 28)

Williamson County Parks & Recreation invites you to the Longview Rec Center in Spring Hill for their first Arctic Plunge! Join them as they open the outdoor pool this Saturday from 11 a.m.- 2 p.m. for a plethora of activities, including a costume contest! Each person brave enough to plunge into the cold water will receive a t-shirt and raffle tickets. This Arctic Plunge benefits The Well Outreach and is for ages 8 and up. Participate in activities or bring non-perishables to be entered for a chance to win prizes! 

 

Freedom & Whiskey Inaugural Event (Jan. 28)

The Freedom & Whiskey Foundation will be holding its Inaugural Event this Saturday from 7 p.m.- 9 p.m. at Leiper’s Fork Distillery! This fundraising event will include complimentary food, cocktails, tasting stations, a bottle of Freedom & Whiskey Small Batch Tennessee Whiskey, and entry into a raffle to win a Single Barrel of Freedom & Whiskey Inaugural Expression, in partnership with Leiper’s Fork Distillery! The evening’s goal is to raise money for an educational scholarship benefiting qualified members of The Special Operations Forces community. This exclusive gathering of those interested in whiskey and supporting the Special Operations community will be reserved for 150 people at the price of a $1,000 donor’s ticket. 

 

Singin’ in the Rain (Jan. 28-29)

Backlight Productions creates inclusive performance opportunities for adult artists with IDDs. Prepare to be immersed into 1920s Hollywood with their rendition of “Singin’ in the Rain” on Jan. 28th and 29th at 6:30 p.m.! Audience members with fundraiser tickets will receive 2 drink tickets and show-themed treats, while those without a fundraiser ticket will still experience a captivating and immersive performance.
