Brides are signing up for spa treatments the week of their weddings. It is a nice way for the bride to relax before the big day. Brides are having solo treatments, choosing spa packages for themselves and their moms, spa packages for all of the bridesmaids, and even spa packages for the groom!

Massage Therapy 101
You hear the terms Swedish massage, hot stone massage, and deep tissue. What is the difference? Below is a list of common massage therapies used in spas in Williamson County and what these terms mean.
Swedish Massage– A Swedish massage focuses on the back, neck, arms, and legs. Using kneading and gliding strokes, the technique relieves stress, muscle tension, and improves circulation. This massage will not necessarily get the difficult knots out of your back, but it will relieve the stress.
Hot Stone Massage– A hot stone massage eases tension, relieves stress and loosens tight muscles by using polished, heated stones in a luxurious massage.
LA Stone Massage– Similar to the hot stone massage, this massage uses hot and cool stones on specific parts of the body.
Deep Tissue Massage– For those knots and tense muscles, this massage targets specific parts of the individual body. While it is relaxing, the individual may experience some discomfort and pressure as the muscle is relieved of tension.
