Seniors Trip to Amish Country

Experience Tennessee’s Amish culture with the Senior Division of the Williamson County Parks and Recreation Department, Thursday, October 30th.  Enjoy a motorcoach trip to Ethridge, Tennessee and get a firsthand look at the simple lifestyle of an Amish farm.

Boarding horse-drawn carriages, visitors will see farming done the old-fashioned way as they take a fun-filled ride through the Ethridge community. On the tour, visitors can purchase Amish goods, including jams, jellies, cookies, sorghum molasses, baskets and other crafts. After the tour, enjoy an authentic Amish meal served family-style, with dessert and a drink.
 
The cost is $32 per person (all inclusive). Check-in time the day of the trip begins at 8:00am with an estimated return time of 3:00pm. All transportation is provided by motor coach and will leave from the Franklin Recreation Complex located at 1120 Hillsboro Rd., Franklin. Space is limited!
 
To register, call 790-5719, ext. 10 beginning at 9:00 a.m. on or after the first registration date. You must speak with a receptionist in order to make a reservation. You may also register in person. Williamson County residents may register between September 26th and October 24th. Non-residents are welcome to register between October 1st and October 24th.

Reservations must be paid within 5 days of registration in order to be held. Payment may be received by mail, over the phone or in person (credit card purchases must be over $20.00 and will include a small processing fee) and are non-refundable after the final registration date; unless, the seat is filled from the waiting list. Participants may register up to 1 additional person for each trip.
