Senior Activities and Programs Offered at Local Recreation Facilities

The Williamson County Parks and Recreation Department (WCPR) hosts a variety of programs at recreation centers across Williamson County for seniors of all ages and activity levels including art, fitness, nature and sport programs; as well as, social activities and day trips.

Two, new Senior Fitness programs begin in October including a Saturday Senior Boot Camp program at the Franklin Recreation Complex, 1120 Hillsboro Rd., starting October 9; and an Essentrics Stretch and Tone program on Mondays at the Bethesda Recreation Center, 4907 Bethesda Rd., in Thompson’s Station starting October 4 and at the Williamson County Enrichment Center, 110 Everbright Ave, in Franklin starting Tuesday, October 5. Another new program, Cooking with Karen, begins in October at the Franklin Recreation Complex, 1120 Hillsboro Rd., and features individual sessions on cooking with an Instant Pot® and making homemade pasta and sauce.

Advanced registration is required for the majority of senior activities.
