NEW ART CLASSES FOR ADULTS

CROCHET: CHRISTMAS ORNAMENTS
Learn advanced types of crochet stitches and make a variety of Christmas ornaments in this easy to intermediate level class. Participants will be able to choose several patterns based on their skill level. A supply list is available upon registration. SEWING MACHINE BASICS
If you have a sewing machine at home but don’t know how to use it, this workshop class is for you. This basic class will teach you how to thread your machine, sew straight seams, buttonholes, zig-zag sewing and more! Students need to bring their machine and the machine manual to class. SCRAPBOOKING – OPEN CROP
This is an open cropping time to work on projects you have already started or have always wanted to start. Bring your scrapbooking materials and supplies. We will provide the space, tools and inspiration! Scrapbooking-Open Crop will meet Friday, November 7th from 10:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. OR Tuesday, November 11th from6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. OR Saturday, November 15th from 2:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. The fee is $15. SIMPLE SEWING-CHRISTMAS TREE SKIRT
Make a beautiful Christmas tree skirt for yourself or to give as a treasured holiday gift. Instruction will be given on pattern choice, sewing methods, embellishment options and applications. Supply list provided at registration. Class meets Fridays, November 7th – 21st, from noon-3:00 p.m. Some machines available by reservation. Class fee: $45 for the 3-week course. SAY IT WITH STAMPS-HANDMADE GREETING CARDS
Create original greeting cards using rubber stamps, inks, paper, ribbon and other embellishments. Card designs will be seasonally appropriate and can be personalized for any occasion. Class members, ages 16+ will make at least 8 cards. No experience necessary. Say it with Stamps will meet on Friday, November 14th from 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. The class fee for this workshop is $10 with a supply fee of $5. SCRAPBOOKING FOR THE SEASON
Create 24 Winter Wonderland scrapbook pages decorated and ready for photos. Add these pages to any 8×8 album or make it a as a great holiday gift! Supplies include 24 pre-decorated pages, 3-D accents, title stickers and adhesive. Albums are sold separately and will be available for purchase the day of the class. CUSTOMIZED PHOTO DESK CALENDAR
Make a great gift for the holidays at this unique class on Tuesday, November 18th from 6:30 p.m.-8:30 p.m. One side of this customized album contains 2009 calendar pages while the other side displays photos, quotes, etc. The class fee for this workshop is $10 with a supply fee of $30. Supplies include a 6×7 desktop album that converts to an easel, photo mats, journal boxes, decorative paper, and calendar paper. Additional enhancements can be purchased the day of the class.
