The Tennessee Titans brought energy and support to Nolensville, TN, with a special visit to Nolensville Park in Williamson County. On Saturday, April 11th, the organization presented a $2,500 check to the Nolensville Youth Flag Football League. The donation will help fund uniforms for the league’s expanding girls flag football program. Families, players, and coaches gathered to celebrate the moment and the continued growth of youth sports in the area.

The event included appearances from Titans mascot T-Rac and the Titans Cheerleaders, creating an exciting game-day atmosphere. Young athletes had the chance to interact with the team’s representatives while celebrating their season. The partnership highlights a shared commitment to expanding opportunities for youth athletics across Middle Tennessee. It also reflects the increasing popularity of flag football, especially among young female athletes.

League President Geoff Cottrill emphasized the importance of the collaboration. “We have long looked for a community partnership with the Titans,” Cottrill said. “It only made sense, and we’re thrilled to see their commitment to growing girls flag football.” The moment marked a meaningful step forward for both the league and the Nolensville community.

Growing the Game in Williamson County

Nolensville Youth Football continues to expand its reach across Williamson County, offering programs that serve athletes ages 5 to 17. They provide both spring flag football and fall tackle football, creating year-round opportunities for participation. With a strong focus on development, the league encourages players to build skills while learning the fundamentals of teamwork. Each season brings together families from across the Nolensville area, strengthening community connections through sports.

Today, the league stands as Tennessee’s largest co-ed NFL Flag Football program. More than 750 athletes and their families gather each Saturday from February through May at Nolensville Park. The fields fill with energy as teams compete, learn, and grow throughout the season. Coaches and volunteers play a key role in shaping a positive and supportive environment for every participant.

Cottrill believes the Titans’ involvement will help elevate that experience even further. “We’re excited to see the impact this support will have on our players and families,” he said. “Partnerships like this help communities like Nolensville continue to grow the game.” The added resources will ensure that more young athletes can participate with confidence and pride.

Building Character Through Youth Sports

Beyond competition, Nolensville Youth Football focuses on character development and life skills. The league promotes values such as sportsmanship, discipline, and resilience in every aspect of the program. Players learn how to work as a team, handle challenges, and celebrate progress both on and off the field. These lessons often extend far beyond game day, shaping young athletes into confident leaders.

Their mission centers on creating a balanced environment where competition and fun go hand in hand. Coaches emphasize fairness and respect, ensuring every player feels supported. Parents and families also play an active role, contributing to a strong sense of community throughout the season. This approach helps create a welcoming atmosphere for both new and returning players.

“We want to provide a place where kids can learn, compete, and enjoy the game,” Cottrill said. “It’s about more than football. It’s about building something meaningful for these families.” That philosophy continues to guide the league as it grows across Williamson County.

A Bright Future for Nolensville Youth Football

As the current season unfolds, excitement continues to build at Nolensville Park. The partnership with the Tennessee Titans adds momentum to an already thriving program. With increased visibility and support, the league is well-positioned to expand opportunities for young athletes. The focus on girls flag football, in particular, reflects a broader shift in the sport’s accessibility and growth.

Looking ahead, Nolensville Youth Football aims to continue strengthening its presence in the community. They plan to build on their success by expanding programs and enhancing the overall player experience. Support from partners like the Titans plays a key role in making those goals possible. It also reinforces the importance of investing in youth sports at the local level.

Cottrill remains optimistic about what lies ahead. “We’re proud of what we’ve built here in Nolensville,” he said. “And we’re excited about where we’re going.” With strong community backing and growing participation, the league continues to shape the future of youth football in Williamson County.
