New Crochet Classes in Franklin

Crochet beautiful pieces! Williamson County Parks and Recreation announces two new Arts and Craft Classes with Instructor, Cecilia Wells.

In “Crochet Basics – Beginner,” students will first learn how to choose yarns and hooks; then, pick a project to work on for the remaining classes where the focus will be on learning stitches and reading patterns. This class will be offered from 9:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. on Wednesdays, April 9th through April 30th at the Franklin Recreation Complex or Thursdays, April 10th through May 1st at the Hillsboro-Leiper’s Fork Community Center. The cost for each 4-week session at either location is $20.00.

Then, for the experienced crochet student we offer, “Crochet Bead Necklace – Crochet Rope.” In this class, participants get creative with their very own beads they bring to class strung on 25 yards of elastic beading thread. Using bead crochet stitches, participants will crochet their stung beads into a lovely rope necklace. A supply list is provided at registration. The class is offered on Wednesdays, April 9th through April 23rd from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Franklin Recreation Complex. The cost for the 3-week session is $20.00.
