New Classes at the Franklin Recreation Complex

The Williamson County Parks and Recreation Department announces new classes for teens and adults at the Franklin Recreation Complex. Don’t miss out on these excellent opportunities!
 
First, Creative Writing Workshop – Short Stories will be offered on Tuesday, August 5th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. This two hour workshop is for teens and adults who love to write or want to gain confidence in their writing skills. Instructor, Allison Martin will teach participants the basic elements of writing a short story in a fun, interactive atmosphere, as well as help students begin a short story of their own. The cost for this workshop is $25.00. Please be sure to bring paper and a pen to class. 
 
Then, join Heart Rhythm Meditation and energize your heart!  Using techniques from the book Energize Your Heart, Instructor, Curtis Simpson helps participants learn a simple, yet powerful meditation method where the focus is on breath and heartbeat. Come learn about the dimensions of your heart and how to increase its growth on Tuesdays, August 5th through August 26th from 6:30 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. The cost for the 4-week session is $60.00. Wear comfortable clothes and bring a pillow or seat cushion to class.
