Families and community members throughout Franklin are invited to join residents, families and associates at Morning Pointe of Franklin Assisted Living for a Trunk-or-Treat celebration, bringing generations together for an afternoon of Halloween fun and community connection. The Trunk-or-Treat celebration will take place on Friday, Oct. 30, 2026, from 4–6 p.m.
The event will feature creatively decorated vehicles, costumes and trick-or-treating for local children and families. Light refreshments and water will also be available as guests gather to celebrate Halloween with Morning Pointe residents and members of the community.
The celebration will extend beyond the parking lots and into The Lantern at Morning Pointe, Franklin, with a short trick-or-treat route through the community for residents who are unable to come outside. This additional opportunity will allow more residents to participate in the festivities and enjoy visits from costumed children and families.
Local businesses, vendors and community members are also invited to participate in a Pumpkin Decorating Contest. Participants are encouraged to turn an ordinary pumpkin into a creative Halloween display. Winning pumpkins will be displayed, and prizes will be awarded at the Trunk-or-Treat celebration. Decorated pumpkins must be dropped off by Monday, Oct. 26, 2026, at noon at Morning Pointe of Franklin, located at 1005 Generations Way.
“Trunk-or-Treat is a wonderful opportunity to bring our community together and give residents a chance to enjoy the excitement of Halloween alongside local children and families,” said Bradley Hamilton, executive director of Morning Pointe of Franklin. “We also want to make sure our residents who are unable to come outside can still be part of the celebration. These opportunities to connect with people of all ages help make our community a welcoming place for residents, families and our Franklin neighbors.”
The event is open to the public, and community members are encouraged to join the celebration, participate in the pumpkin contest or register a vehicle to decorate for Trunk-or-Treat.
Activities will take place in the assisted living and memory care parking lots, with a trick-or-treat route through The Lantern for residents who are unable to participate outdoors.
The event is free and open to the public. Community members interested in decorating a vehicle or entering the pumpkin contest are encouraged to contact Morning Pointe of Franklin for participation details.
