Experimart is preparing to close its Building 10 location at The Factory at Franklin, with Saturday, August 29, 2026, marking its final official day at the Franklin campus.
The experimental retail store and museum will be open Friday, August 28, and Saturday, August 29, from noon to 5 p.m., giving visitors one last chance to see the original version of Experimart. Experimart plans to relocate to a new space near the Nashville Zoo in September.

Broom Transitional Ceremony on August 29
To mark the move, Experimart will hold a Broom Transitional Ceremony at 3 p.m. Saturday, August 29, at its Building 10 space.
The free gathering will celebrate Experimart’s time at The Factory and the transition to its next location. Visitors will also have an opportunity to create a personal “Self Time Capsule” as part of the event.
Experimart founder Bryce McCloud said the Franklin location was always intended to be a limited-time experiment and the first step in a larger project.
Experimart opened at The Factory in January 2026 after Bryce McCloud and his team spent about a year designing and building the space. Part retail store, part interactive museum, and part working art studio, Experimart combines hands-on printing, changing exhibits, unusual collections, and participatory projects designed to encourage visitors to experiment, create, and look more closely at everyday objects.

One Last Weekend at The Factory at Franklin
Experimart will be open:
Friday, August 28: Noon–5 p.m.
Saturday, August 29: Noon–5 p.m.
Broom Transitional Ceremony: Saturday at 3 p.m.
Saturday will also be the final opportunity, for now, to see the Jeni-Land dolls and take part in a stuffed animal adoption at Experimart.
While the Building 10 location is closing, Experimart says its experiments and Experimental Club will continue at its new Nashville location. Experimart is also looking for volunteers who may be interested in helping with the move and encourages anyone who would like to lend a hand to get in touch.
