Kindermusik Returns to Fairview

“Kindermusik” winter sessions begin at the Williamson County Parks and Recreation’s Fairview Complex. Kindermusik inspires learning and development in infants, toddlers and kids in 35 countries around the world through joyful activities, music and movement. Children are able to improve coordination and balance, nurture self esteem with one-on-one parent to child interaction and develop self discipline, listening and creative thinking skills.

Kindermusik is presented in three different sessions for three age groups:

“Village”
(Newborns to 18 months)
Village provides infants and toddlers with multi-level activities including creative movement, vocal play, object and instrument exploration and a colorful literature component. All baby’s senses are engaged! Two sessions are offered on Thursdays, January 17th through February 21st or February 28th through April 10th (skip 3/20) from 9:30 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. Cost is $75.00 for each 6 week session with a $35.00 supply fee, payable to the instructor.

“Our Time”
(Ages 18 months to 3 years)
Our Time participants enjoy singing, moving, listening, interacting socially and playing simple instruments. Each session encourages children to uncover an engaging musical world while building self confidence, self-control and communications skills. Creative movement to various musical “moods” help develop a sense of balance, timing and spatial awareness, while listening and turn-taking encourage blossoming social skills. Classes are offered on Thursdays, January 17th through April 10th (skip 3/20) from 10:30 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. Cost for the 12-week session is $150.00 with a $60.00 supply fee, payable to the instructor.

“Imagine That!”
(Ages 3 to 5)
Imagine That takes parent and child on a musical journey of imaginative discovery and exploration. Pretend play activities are integrated with music, vocal development, storytelling, movement and literature to capture the child’s potential to learn, encourage cognitive and literacy skills, creativity and individuality. Singing becomes a focus for enhancing the preschooler’s vocal development as the expressive language is just beginning to emerge. Parents are invited to participate in the last 15 minutes for the sharing time at the end of class. Classes are offered on Thursdays, January 17th through April 10th (skip 3/20) from 11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Cost for the 12-week session is $150.00 with a $65.00 supply fee, payable to the instructor.
