Haunted Halloween at Carnton

Haunted Halloween at Carnton

Ghost tours of the historic house are the spooky centerpiece of the 4th  annual Haunted Halloween at Historic Carnton Plantation in Franklin, Oct. 27 from 5:30PM-9PM.

Watch out: You will see a ghost!

Last year, costumed reenactors portrayed some of the spirits reportedly seen in and around the house over the years. Lit only by candlelight, these specters made a haunting impression on the over 800 visitors who attended the event.

When one woman asked the spirit of the weeping maiden a question about the room’s furnishing, the ghost replied, ‘Madam, are you accustomed to speaking to ghosts?”

Be prepared for surprises at every turn!

Back for the fourth year is Professor Richard Barclay, the Wizard of Edinburgh and Civil War Conjuror. The alter ego of local magician Rick Green, the wizard confounds and amazes visitors with his sleight of hand. Green will perform two shows during the evening.

Hot dogs and barbeque will be available for purchase on site.

Cost of admission is $15 for adults, $10 for children 6-12, and under 6 $5. Reservations are not accepted. For more information, call 615-794-0903 or visit www.Carnton.org.
