Franklin on the Fourth

The Franklin Lions Club and the City of Franklin invite you to the 11th annual Franklin on the Fourth celebration, held in downtown Franklin on Wednesday, July 4. Lions Club President Trey Garrard says that this FREE hometown festival is a “very family oriented celebration, with good food, crafts and vendors, games for children, live music, a parade – something for everyone.”

The celebration kicks off at 11 a.m. and will end with a bang at 9 p.m., showcasing an impressive fireworks display for all to enjoy. Attendees will enjoy an assortment of craft and food vendors, live music by several local artists and entertainment for children. The musical entertainment begins at 1 p.m. and the Cadence Bank children’s parade starts at 4 p.m. There will be an assortment of artists, such as seasoned musicians, Amp’d, who play a variety of music from the ’70s and ’80s. Special guests and nationally acclaimed Eagles tribute band, Tequila Sunrise, will perform at 7 p.m.

This event is a Lions Club fundraiser for their Eyesight Conservation Program, a program dedicated to providing free eye screenings for children in Williamson County Schools and the Franklin Special School District. According to Garrard, in the last year alone the Lions Club has screened more than 2,200 children for eye disorders; the club also is dedicated to covering the eye care expenses of the indigent in Franklin/Williamson County.

Thanks to the sponsors who made this year’s event possible: Cadence Bank, Vulcan Materials, Sonic, Williamson Medical Center and ATMOS Energy. For more information, please visit www.franklinlionsclub.com or call 615.591.0921.
