Former military planner to discuss security for short-term mission trips

At the same time that many churches are expanding their international outreach, the world is getting more dangerous. Proper security planning is sometimes overlooked, yet there is potential for incidents ranging from kidnappings and serious injuries or death to getting caught in an outbreak of war.
Dr. Todd Bradley, a former military planner and now vice president for academic affairs at Williamson College, will discuss security considerations for short-term mission trips at the college’s Veritas Perspectives luncheon on March 3 beginning at11:30 a.m. Williamson College is located at 274 Mallory Station Road in Franklin.
Bradley is a graduate of Armed Forces Staff College, the premier college for military planning, and he has extensive experience in contingency planning and intercultural work. During the luncheon, he will explain how to prepare for and manage a mission-trip crisis.
Bradley served as the chief of intelligence plans for two major air commands in Europe and the Pacific. In this role, he was centrally involved in contingency planning for operations in Africa, the Middle East and the Balkans.
