Oaklands Mansion has two exciting events for the community this October! First up is the historic mansion’s Flashlight Night, a family-friendly event held on Friday, October 16th. Followed up by a Oaklands Mansionthat is tailored for adults 21+ only on October 30th.
During Flashlight Night, you are invited to explore Murfreesboro’s most mysterious mansion after dark. Oaklands Mansion will be decorated for the Halloween season and in the fashion of Victorian funerals. Guests can win a prize for completing the scavenger hunt provided upon arrival. These special nighttime, self-guided tours will feature some of the unusual and creepy elements of Victorian mourning. When your flashlight tour is over, if you dare, take a walk on the dimly lit trails of the wetlands and see the dark reflections of Maney Spring.

Word on the street is that the grandest affair in Murfreesboro, the Halloween Speakeasy & Masquerade Ball, is taking place Friday, October 30th, from 5 o’clock to 9 in the evening. Flappers, gents, and lovers of high-class entertainment are cordially invited to don their finest masquerade masks and vintage rags for a night of bootleg luxury across Maney Hall and the historic Oaklands Mansion.
