In celebration of National Mushroom Day on Thursday, October 15, Mellow Mushroom is releasing its first-ever coloring book, Mel & Wizard’s Colorful Trip. The book follows Mellow Mushroom characters Mel and the Wizard on a series of adventures with coloring pages adapted from Mellow Mushroom’s signature artwork. The original illustrations are by Katie Trayte, the artist behind Mellow Mushroom’s current pizza box art.
“With art and imagination at the core of the brand since the start, from each location’s murals and interiors to the menus, packaging and characters, Mellow Mushroom is excited to take Mel and the Wizard off the box and onto the page, so that guests can add some color of their own,” says Elizabeth Brasch, EVP of People & Brand at Mellow Mushroom.
For National Mushroom Day on Thursday, October 15, Mellow Mushroom will offer 25% off a choice of any one of its specialty stone-baked pizzas, like the guest-favorite Holy Shiitake with olive oil & garlic base, roasted shiitake, button & portobello mushrooms, caramelized onions, mozzarella, aged white cheddar, fresh chives, garlic aioli swirl, and black truffle oil. To redeem the discount online, guests can enter the code MELDAY25 at checkout. In-store, guests can present the same code or simply mention National Mushroom Day. In addition, the first 50 people who mention National Mushroom Day when dining in on that day will receive a coloring book.
