Desserts ‘n Denver

The “Desserts ‘n Denver” fundraising event is scheduled for Friday, Nov.17, 7 p.m., to benefit The Arts Council of Williamson County’s Grants Program, and the public is invited to attend.

 The event, slated for The Elm Tree Gallery on Main Street in downtown Franklin, will feature the art of pairing fine dessert wines with sweet gourmet treats. The event, sponsored by Del Rio Wine & Spirits, will feature wine pairing with desserts prepared by local establishments, while Kenny Durham, multi-platinum songwriter and guitarist, performs. Terry Peevyhouse, Charlie Vaughan and Josh Watkins will accompany Kenny.

Linda McLaughlin, president of the Arts Council of Williamson County (ACWC), says: “We are thrilled to present this unique evening with desserts from so many wonderful establishments: Lillie Belles, Forever Moore, Franklin Mercantile, Monell’s, al dente Catering, Stoveworks, Nick of Thyme Catering, J. Alexander’s, Barbara’s Home Cooking, Heavenly Creations, Sweet Temptations and Menu Maker Catering.  Paired with fine wine and great entertainment, how much sweeter could it get?”

Tickets for the event are only $25 each, with the proceeds going to benefit the Arts Council of Williamson County’s Grant Program.
