United Way Recognizes Milestone Campaign at Tractor Supply

Team member and corporate donations lead to more than $1 million raised to impact local communities

FRANKLIN, Tenn. (Nov. 25, 2019)—  United Way of Williamson County (UWWC) announced today that Tractor Supply’s annual charitable campaign to benefit UWWC will surpass $1 million. This is the first ever million-dollar United Way campaign in the history of Williamson County. Based in Brentwood, Tennessee, Tractor Supply, the largest rural lifestyle retailer in the United States, attributes its record-breaking support to overall team member engagement and the campaign steering committee’s innovative incentives and successful themed activities.

“Our partnership with Tractor Supply is an outstanding example of how organizations can collaborate to ensure that every person in our community has an equal chance at a bright future,” said Pam Bryant, UWWC President and CEO. “We’re extremely grateful for Tractor Supply’s leadership, its team members and their continued support over the years.”

“As a purpose-driven business, Tractor Supply’s mission to work hard, have fun and make money supports our commitment to giving back to the communities we serve and making a difference,” said Greg Sandfort, Tractor Supply Company’s Chief Executive Officer. “For nearly 15 years, Tractor Supply and United Way of Williamson County have had a strong partnership working to positively impact Middle Tennessee. We join countless volunteers and organizations who are committed to advancing health, accelerating education and expanding financial stability for individuals and families in our communities.”

The 2019 campaign, led by steering committee chair, Glenn Allison, VP of Information Technology, was driven by team member participation, including financial pledges and donation of time to bring the campaign to life and make it a success. Tractor Supply team members also engaged in numerous United Way volunteer activities throughout the year.
