HAIRSPRAY TO HAMILTON TOPS DRAMA CAMP OPTIONS
New musical revue plus Disney Favorites camps
The Williamson County Parks and Recreation Department is pleased to announce five summer drama camps for kids, including Hairspray to Hamilton, a new musical revue written and directed by Julia Nolan and Shana Purkey. Nolan is a singer, actress, director and writer who has performed with Sony recording artist Rhona Bennett of En Vogue, Lee Greenwood and numerous others.
Hairspray to Hamilton Camps
Hairspray to Hamilton is a Broadway style intensive summer camp that showcases a wide variety of music-from energetic group numbers to stirring ballads from Broadway favorites like Hamilton, Hairspray and Wicked. Three camps will be offered, each presenting a musical revue on the last day for parents and friends: June 11-15 at the Williamson County Recreation Complex at Nolensville, 7250 Nolensville Rd. (#11690); and June 25-29 (#11752) or July 23-27 (#11753) at the Performing Arts Center at Academy Park, 112 Everbright Ave. Camps meet Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. daily. $200 per child. Disney Favorites Performing Arts Camps
Kids ages 3 to 6 will be singing and dancing their way through the Disney Favorites Performing Arts camp. With catchy tunes and dances from movies like Mary Poppins, Snow White, and The Jungle Book to new favorites like Moana and Frozen, this show has it all! Daily instruction will include singing, dancing and acting in preparation for a show on the last day for parents. Offered June 4-8 at the Williamson County Recreation Complex at Nolensville, 7250 Nolensville Rd. (#11689); and July 16-20 (#11751) or at the Performing Arts Center at Academy Park, 112 Everbright Ave. Camps meet Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. daily. $200 per child.
