There are so many new members of our community that have not experienced our rich civil war history,” states Oaklands educational director, Mary Beth Nevills. Teachers and parents can look forward to this event again in fall 2013. Reservations are already being accepted for school groups and home school families.
“Days of Washing, Churning, and Learning” is sponsored by Oaklands Historic House Museum. Admission is $5.00 for person and free for teachers and parents with paid child admission. Parking provided with check-in at the Roberts Street Pavilion. This event is open to the public. For information, please contact Mary Beth Nevills at 615-893-0022 or email mb@oaklandsmuseum.org.
