The Fleming Center is located at Historic Carnton in Franklin, Tennessee. The Battle of Franklin Trust hosts a series of special events that draw Civil War enthusiasts, families, and visitors from across the region. Some of these special events are held at the Fleming Center.
Carnton was built in 1826 and owned by the McGavock family. During the Battle of Franklin on November 30, 1864, the house was used as a Confederate field hospital. The McGavock Confederate Cemetery is located on the property. Visitors learn the story of the farm, the battle, and how the Civil War redefined America
