Bicentennial Park is nestled in between downtown Franklin and the Harpeth River along 3rd Ave. N and Hillsboro Rd. Bicentennial is a passive park that features a greenway that starts at the end of Margin and 2nd and travels through town to the Franklin Recreation Center. There is also an overlook of the Harpeth River, making this a great location for fishing. Bicentennial Park is a great park to see nature while exercising in the heart of Franklin.
Following years of planning and redevelopment, Bicentennial Park now includes updated amenities and a renewed purpose. The 10-acre park, located on the historic site of the former Georgia Boot Factory, now features an open-air pavilion, shaded picnic areas, and a performance stage designed for community events. A public plaza shares the story of Franklin’s interurban rail history, and a restored factory dust collector nods to the park’s industrial past.
With capacity for 3,000–5,000 guests, the space is ideal for outdoor concerts, festivals, and family-friendly gatherings.
