Nashville Shores Honors U.S. Military Families During Memorial Day Weekend

Memorial Day weekend brings the unofficial start of summer to Middle Tennessee. This year, Nashville Shores is celebrating with special offers for military families, exciting water attractions, and a fireworks show over Percy Priest Lake. From Friday, May 22nd, through Monday, May 25th, active-duty military members, veterans, retirees, reservists, and National Guard members can receive major ticket discounts at this popular Nashville waterpark.

The Memorial Day celebration honors military service while giving families a fun way to spend the holiday weekend together. Located along Percy Priest Lake, Nashville Shores remains one of the top summer attractions in and around Nashville. Guests can enjoy water slides, a wave pool, lazy river rides, lakeside views, and one of the area’s most anticipated Memorial Day fireworks displays.

Military Families Receive Special Memorial Day Weekend Discounts

During Memorial Day weekend, eligible military guests can purchase one-day admission tickets for 50% off the regular adult gate price. The special offer runs Friday through Monday and applies to active-duty military members, retirees, veterans, reservists, and National Guard members.

Military guests may purchase up to six discounted tickets per transaction. The offer allows families and friends to enjoy a full day at the park while celebrating the holiday weekend together. In addition to discounted admission, military members also receive free admission on Memorial Day, Monday, May 25. Guests must present a valid military ID at the park entrance to receive complimentary admission.

The military ticket promotion is available exclusively at the front gate ticket window. Guests cannot purchase discounted tickets online or over the phone. Arriving early may help families avoid longer holiday weekend lines.

About Nashville Shores

Known as Middle Tennessee’s largest waterpark, Nashville Shores offers more than one million gallons of water attractions and family entertainment. Thrill-seekers can race down towering water slides or cool off in the massive wave pool. Families with younger children often gather at Kowabunga Beach, a large interactive water playground featuring slides, splash zones, and climbing areas.

Guests looking for a slower pace can float along the lazy river or relax beside Percy Priest Lake. The lakeside setting gives the park a resort atmosphere that feels removed from the city, despite its short drive from downtown Nashville. The park continues attracting families throughout the summer because it offers activities for nearly every age group. Whether guests want adrenaline-filled rides or a relaxing afternoon in the sun, the park delivers both experiences in one location.

Memorial Day Weekend Fireworks Over Percy Priest Lake

One of the biggest highlights of the holiday weekend arrives Sunday evening when Nashville Shores Lakeside Resort lights up the sky with its annual Memorial Day fireworks show. The fireworks display begins at dusk, around 8:45 pm. Guests can watch colorful reflections dance across Percy Priest Lake while enjoying one of Nashville’s most colorful holiday events.

Fireworks admission is included with both season passes and one-day tickets purchased for that day. Many families stay after sunset specifically for the lakeside display, which for many, has become a holiday tradition for returning visitors. Water attractions close at 8 pm on fireworks night, but several concession stands remain open until the show begins. Guests can grab snacks, drinks, and desserts while waiting for the fireworks to start. It is the perfect way to celebrate Memorial Day weekend.
